Check the numbers behind our Base44 vs Replit test.

We rebuilt the trip-expense task from our Base44 vs Replit comparison. This is a corrected reference demo, not the original Replit Agent output.

Check that the numbers and labels agree. The original recording checked the sample. The edit-and-reload step below tests this rebuild.

  1. Check the total: the five sample expenses add up to $857.55. Petrol shows Split 3 and kayak hire shows Split 2.
  2. Check Balances: Ana gets back $280.02 and Ben $30.30. Cass owes $147.84 and Dev $162.48. The net total is $0.00.
  3. Check Settle up: Dev pays Ana $162.48. Cass pays Ana $117.54 and Ben $30.30. Those three payments clear the balances.
  4. Change who shares it: edit Petrol, add Ben and save. Its badge should change from Split 3 to Split 4. Restore the sample before the next check.
  5. Try a saved change: edit Petrol from $52.15 to $53.15. Save, then reload. The total should stay at $858.55. Restore the sample under “Start or open a trip” when you’re done. It replaces your current trip.

If browser storage is blocked, changes last only while the page stays open.

Start or open a trip

One trip stays saved at a time. A code reopens that trip only in this browser. Starting a new trip or restoring the sample replaces the current trip. Codes don’t recover past trips or open another browser’s data.

The sample starts with five expenses totaling $857.55.
